Gerardo Gerome Chagolla

Gerardo Gerome Chagolla (he/him) grew up in Inglewood, and has been a journalist for five years. He prefers to cover stories that emphasize improvements within the inner city. Currently, he’s editor-in-chief of Fullerton College’s campus newspaper, The Hornet.

Gerardo is a member of and interns for the Fullerton Rotary Club. He enjoys covering and watching sports and serving his local community. You’ll find Gerardo outdoors exploring nature during his free time. He is excited for AfroLA’s mission to become an integral fixture of Los Angeles’ Black communities. “If you ain’t laughing, you ain’t living.”
